March 21, 1951 - November 13, 2017

Began his spirit journey surrounded by his loving family on November 13, 2017 at the age of 66. Dear son of Eli and Annie Recollet (née Eshkawkogan) both predeceased. Loving husband to Ann-Marie. Proud father to, Denise (Terry), Darcy, Crystal, Hiawatha, Quentin (Cherie), Sam and Devon. Proud Grandfather to many grandchildren and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Valentine (Mary Agnes) and Eugene (Priscilla). Survived by his Uncle Norman. Survived by his brothers and sisters Annabelle (Lawrence), Lynda (Blair), Donna (Stewart), Carolyn (Frank predeceased), Elizabeth (Gary), Jimmy (Debbie) Veronica (Jim), Freda (Donnie), Bernadette (Tim), Debbie (Gary predeceased), Mary (Mark), Joe (Polly), Peter (Hans), Corrine (Dan) and Paul. Mutty was a strong leader in upholding and creating family values and traditions. As a boy born and raised in Rabbit Island, as an early riser every morning he began his daily chores, firewood, fished and hunted for the family household. Mutty was talented working with horses. Mutty enjoyed picking blueberries, making maple syrup, sliding, ski-dooing, hockey, crochet, euchre, gambling and family gatherings. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 after 3 p.m. at the Wahnapitae First Nation Centre of Excellence. A 7:00 p.m. Ceremony Traditional Feast to follow. Sunrise Ceremony to be held Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Wahnapitae First Nation Centre of Excellence. The burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. with a feast to follow. Donations can be made (by cheque or online) to the Maison McCulloch Hospice at www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
