I had the honour and privilege of knowing and caring for Nicholas Fex during his childhood. I was always humbled and inspired by his love of life and his infectious smile. Nicholas and his mother Lynn taught me so much about how to truly care for families who journey through chronic medical conditions and it has made meaningful difference in the care I provide to my patients.

Lynn... you are a remarkable mother and Nicholas was blessed to be your son. I will miss Nicholas' sarcastic humour and his wonderful smile.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this very difficult time.

My condolences to Nicholas' family. He truly was a little trooper. I had the pleasure of being Nicholas' school nurse a few years back. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and his enthusiasm for life. Definitely an inspiration and a reminder to others that nothing can keep you down. RIP Nicholas your fight is over!

Nick was a warrior, an inspiration to everyone. He fought the fight till he couldn't fight any longer. We always said that "Nick was here for a reason" and he was. He taught us all so many life lessons. To live everyday to the fullest, to laugh, to be strong even when you feel weak. The good Lord gave Nick his wings to soar high. Fly Nick, fly. My deepest and most heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the Fex family. I knew Nick a short couple years. In knowing this young courageous man he was a true inspiration to all who met him. With his angelic smile and one of a kind laugh he brought a purpose to everyone he met. The strength this young man carried day in and day out can bring one a many to shame. His long battles and sacrifices did not go unnoticed. He held his head up high and carried on. Nick was a angel here on earth and now with god's call home his golden wings spread to be gods sidekick to watch over us all. Nick your true spirit lives on in everyone that u touched.
