One day, Germaine showed me one of her favourite wardrobe tricks, but warned me that earlier, one of her Pioneer Manor friends almost had a heart attack when she saw her doing this. She had wrapped her head completely in one of her silk scarves, and was holding the ends tightly under her chin. But it was just to make it easier to slip over her head a sweater with a jewel neckline that was just a little too tight. Ha ha ha! She cracked me up.
