Passed away peacefully during his sleep on May 31, 2017 at the age of 79 years. Son of the late Léonidas and of the late Angéline (née Chevrier). Beloved husband of 57 wonderful years to Colette (née Brunet). Cherished father of Benoît Jr. (Diane), Nicole Gervais-Parisé (Gilles), Jean-Gilles (Lise), Marc (Mary Ellen) and Jasmine (Don Nadeau). Predeceased by his son Vincent and his brother Rhéal. Beloved grandfather of Tina, Mario, Kayla, Mathieu, Joël, Éric, Michael and Kali. Awesome great-grandfather of Eliana, Miya, Joshua, Sam and Sébastien. He will be missed by his brothers and sisters Marcel (Lucille), Rita Dupuis, René (Noëlla), Jeanine LeBrun, Roger (Peggy), Léo (Lynn), Lucien (Joanne), Émile (Thea), Suzanne Proulx (Réjean), Richard, Bernadette Greene (Rick) and several nephews and nieces. Benoît will be lovingly remembered for his passion of fishing, camping and card playing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree council 9619, St-Dominique and a member of the 4th degree Msgr Roger Depatie Assembly. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St-Dominique Church, Sudbury.
