The family announces with sorrow her death on June 14, 2017 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Léo Séguin Jr. (predeceased 2006). Dear mother of Claude (Karen) of Regina, Hélène Ciutti (Marty) of Sudbury, Suzanne Pitre (Raymond) of Chelmsford, Guy of Sudbury and Gilles (predeceased in 2004). Born in Hull, Québec, she was the daughter of Isidore Cadieux and Emma (born Bilodeau) both predeceased. Daughter-in-law of Léo Séguin Sr. And Victoria (born Plouffe) both predeceased. She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters - Alice, Henri, Jeannine, Lucille, Carmen and Rhéal. Dear sister-in-law of Ernest (Beatrice, predeceased) of Ottawa, Irène Chartrand (Hector, predeceased) of Ottawa, Noëlla Brassard (Gérald) both predeceased and Élise Grand-Maître of Orléans as well as many nieces and nephews.
Retiring in 1990, she was a former employee of Revenue Canada both in Sudbury and Ottawa, serving for 29 years.
At Jacqueline’s request, there will be no visitation. A service will be held at St-Patrick’s Church at 39 Walford Road, Sudbury on Saturday July 8th 2017 at 11:00am. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Co-operative Funeral Home in Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Camp Quality for children with cancer, Maison McCulloch Hospice and/or the Arthritis Society of Sudbury would be greatly appreciated.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at both The Walford and the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their incredible love and care.
Mother, mentor, confident, best friend to her children. She was the joy of their lives and they are thankful for all the help she gave each of them with so much unconditional love. She will always be with them in spirit, cherished in their hearts and forever in their thoughts. She will be forever missed!
